GRATITUDE GALA / November 22, 2019

Thanksgiving is a time for families and communities to come together and reflect on what they are grateful for. 175 guests joined us in celebration and gratitude for our first annual Gratitude Gala, on November 22, 2019, at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. We heard patient families share their stories, insights into the work of PNOC doctors, a beautiful performance by inspiring young survivor Grace Wethor and enjoyed a lively auction with a variety of rare, incredible experiences and had great fun dancing to the band Notorious! As one guest stated: "I laughed, I cried, I got goosebumps. People gave generously and then danced the night away!".

PIXAR BENEFIT SCREENING / June 12, 2019

For over 20 years, Toy Story has been delighting audiences and sharing valuable lessons about friendship and caring for one another. This year, PNOC Foundation was honored to be chosen for one of the very exclusive Toy Story 4 Pre-release Benefit Screenings at Pixar Studios. The event brought together a record number of patient families, Pixar creators and community members from the Bay Area and beyond. We surpassed our goal and raised $80,000, but the outstanding highlight for us was the joy, wonder and excitement on all of the children’s faces!

PNOC UCSF LAB TOUR / May 2, 2019

During this year’s behind-the-scenes lab tour at UCSF, led by PNOC leaders Dr. Sabine Mueller, Dr. Michael Prados and Dr. Nalin Gupta, participants heard firsthand about exciting developments in PNOC's current clinical trials. We were honored to be joined by 5 patient families this year, who shared moving stories about how PNOC's care brought hope and life-saving treatments to their children. We hope you'll consider joining a future tour. This personal view into the research, and connection to our doctors and patient families, helps bring this work to life. To learn about future tours, please email: rachael@pnocfoundation.org.

BIDEN CANCER SUMMIT / September 21, 2018

PNOC Foundation was honored to be a part of the inaugural Biden Cancer Summit, hosted by Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden in Washington, DC, on September 21, 2018. During the Summit, PNOC Co-founder Bruce Campbell gave a Spotlight Speech and made a major announcement, committing $1 Million towards cancer research over the next three years. The Summit brought leading cancer organizations and advocates, as well as sponsoring companies and institutions, together to drive the urgency of now by promoting new solutions, announcing major new collaborations, and telling stories that epitomize what it means to be cancer FIERCE. The Summit in D.C. was the flagship event of more than 450 Biden Cancer Community Summits convening around the world on the same day, all focused on improving the cancer journey for patients, their families, and caregivers. Please watch the highlight reel and Bruce’s speech for more highlights from the day. Please also follow @pnocfoundation for continued updates on Summit follow up.

BIDEN COLLABORATIVE / June 28, 2018

This June, PNOC Foundation was proud to receive an invitation to join the Biden Cancer Collaborative. This platform, led by the Biden Cancer Initiative, aims to “bring together the cancer patient and advocacy community to identify common issues, solutions, and spur collaboration that could benefit the community as whole.” On June 28, 2018, we attended the Collaborative's inaugural forum, hosted by Dr. Jill Biden in Washington. This specific forum, which was a small gathering of 54 selected participants, focused on Patient Advocacy and the Changing Role of the Patient. PNOC Foundation contributed insights about our highly collaborative research format, our partnership with CBTTC and CAVATICA, and our specific focus on patient-centered care. PNOC will return to Washington for the Biden Cancer Summit on September, 21, 2018, where co-founder Bruce Campbell will give a spotlight speech, and we will announce a major commitment to pediatric brain cancer research. Please follow us @pnocfoundation for live updates.

PNOC UCSF LAB TOUR / May 29, 2018

We are proud to announce the launch of the PNOC Foundation Advisory Council, which brings 15 experts and leaders from the fields of medicine, philanthropy, business, advertising, finance, technology, politics and media together to lend expertise and guidance as the Foundation works to fulfill our goal of letting no child die from brain cancer. On May 29th, we brought the Council to UCSF for a lab tour led by the founders of PNOC - UCSF’s top neurosurgeons and researchers - which included an exclusive look into PNOC’s newest clinical trials including tumor vaccine and immunotherapy therapies, a private tour of the clinical and operating facilities, followed by a dinner at Cavalier restaurant in San Francisco.

HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER / December 3, 2017

PNOC Foundation holds an annual family-friendly fundraiser which includes a holiday movie, followed by a reception, silent auction and holiday activities. We are joined by children and families affected by brain cancer, and this year brain cancer survivor Holly James shared, "I had such a fantastic time at this year’s PNOC event! It is so wonderful to be surrounded by so many supportive people during the holidays!”

100% of donations support PNOC clinical trials, bringing life-changing advances to patients across the country. A record amount was raised at our 3rd annual fundraiser in 2017 - over 50% more than was raised at last year’s event – and we look forward to our 2018 event!
